NORTHFIELD, Minn. — If Ross Kinderman (Onalaska, Wis.) was feeling any pre-competition jitters on the inside, the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota freshman certainly didn't show it on the outside. Kinderman, making his first collegiate appearance in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, posted a third-place total of 3,208 points after the first five events at the MIAC decathlon Thursday—leaving him just 19 points back of Day 1 leader Preston Huddleston of St. Thomas.
