Baertsch '05 named Outstanding Young AlumnaPublished by
WINONA, Minn. — As a Saint Mary's University of Minnesota student-athlete, Jenny (Folgers) Baertsch '05 was a four-year regular on both the cross country and track and field teams—winning the MIAC title in the 100 hurdles at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships and twice qualifying for the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships, while also being named Academic All-MIAC and earning USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors. Graduation did nothing to slow Baertsch, either. The drive and dedication that carried Baertsch to outstanding successes as a collegiate athlete never waned. And Saturday, Baertsch will once again be recognized as being outstanding when she is honored as Saint Mary's University's Outstanding Young Alumna during Reunion Weekend festivities.
