Plenty of solid showings at UW-Superior InvitePublished by
SUPERIOR, Wis. — The distance runners set the tone on Friday night, and the rest of the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota track and field teams followed suit. Jovan Newsum (Glendale Heights, Ill.), Aaron Haley (Plainview, Minn.), and Austin O'Hare (Rushford, Minn.) all turned in top 15 performances in the 3,000 during Friday's St. Thomas Showcase in St. Paul, Minn. And for coach Neils Anderson, the trio's performance was a sign of good things to come for the Cardinals. Ross Kinderman (Onalaska, Wis.) posted a first- and a second-place performance, and Brandon Krogman (Owatonna, Minn.) missed the school record in the 600 by four one-hundreths of a second to highlight the Cardinals' showing at the non-team-scored event.
